Poster announcing national symposium of the music of Kurt Weill, known for his work in the Berlin avant garde with the writer Bertolt Brecht, and then later as a composer for Broadway musicals with writers such as Ira Gershwin. Weill left Germany in 1933 to avoid Nazi persecution. He was the composer of Mac the Knife.
